Registration will open Monday December 1, 2025 at 9am

Our classes in Manchester are taught in a studio space at the Manchester Historical Society, housed in one of the historic buildings of the Cheney Mills. The Floor Loom class program begins in September with our Fall classes. Students who register for our Beginner, Beyond Beginner,  Intermediate/ Advanced Fall Floor Loom class and choose to continue, will receive priority registration for additional Floor Loom classes within that year. This format allows a student to continue to build skills and confidence in weaving. However, because of this, space is limited for class registration for our Winter and Spring classes. If you are currently on our waitlist and a space becomes available, we will notify you.

All class registration is through this website, we do not accept mailed in registrations or registration in advance.

Note: All weaving classes are held on the 2nd floor which is only accessible by stairs.

Beginner Floor Loom: Design and Weave

Students who have completed our Beginner Floor loom class, or Floor Loom Fundamentals Workshop can advance their weaving skills by choosing from 1 of the following projects to weave: a set of 4 towels, 2 scarves or 4 placemats with a runner. Each student will learn how to create their own draft, and choose their own warp and weft colors from the supplied fibers. Students will wind the warp, dress their loom and then weave their chosen project (sizes may vary). All steps from design through finishing will be covered in the class. • Our classrooms and studios are currently only accessible by a flight of stairs.

  • Refund Policy and Class Cancellations:

    • The Weaving Center reserves the right to cancel a class due to low enrollment. Should we do so, registered students will receive a full refund.

    • For active classes cancelled due to weather or instructor illness, a make-up time will be scheduled.

    • Registered Students: Please notify the Weaving Center as soon as possible if there is a need to cancel your registration.
      - If there is a waiting list and the spot can be filled, a 3% processing fee will be deducted from the total refund if you have paid by credit. If you have paid by check and the spot can be filled, you will receive a full refund.
      - If a spot cannot be filled, no refund will be offered. This includes absences due to unexpected events or personal circumstances such as illness. Please contact us if supplies are included as part of the registration fee.
