Introduction to WeavePoint: A 1 Day Workshop with Tara Patrina
This workshop will introduce any weaver who is ready to better understand the structures they work with and to begin designing their own fabrics to WeavePoint. We will begin as if you've never opened the application before. You will be walked through the program’s basic functions, how to organize your files for the best workflow, the basic skills you need to successfully use the program as well as some more advanced skills to get an idea on what else this program can do for you. It is recommended that you bring a notebook or laptop; WeavePoint has a free to use Demo version available for download for those who want to better follow along on their own laptops.
Skill Level: This Workshop is perfect if you are an Intermediate to Advanced level floor loom weaver with multi shaft weaving experience and understanding of basic weave structures. It is also helpful to have an understanding of profile drafts and block weave but is not necessary.
Supplies Needed: Please bring a notebook. A laptop computer is optional but highly recommended
