Beyond Beginner Floor Loom: A 5 Day Round-Robin Workshop
with Sally Mullen and Shari Diamond
This workshop offers students the opportunity to explore a variety of weave structures and develop their technical skills. Each student will leave the workshop with samples of 6 specific weave structures. Students will wind a warp and dress the loom in a particular structure and weave samples on all looms, rotating to each of 6 structures.
Prerequisite: Completion of Beginner Floor Loom Class
Skill Level: Completion of at least a beginner floor loom class. Also great for experienced weavers who would like to explore structures and create samples for their own reference

About the Instructors:
Sally Mullen has been weaving for over 35 years. She is the Studio Manager of the Weaving Center, and has been working with blind and senior weavers since 1995. Sally teaches floor loom and rigid heddle classes at the Weaving Center Much of Sally’s weaving experience was gained working for 25 years as a weaver of hand-dyed silks for Randall Darwall.
Shari Diamond learned to weave in 2018 at the Weaving Center and "caught the weaving bug." She is now enrolled in the Hill Instituted Master Weaver Program. Shari loves to share her enthusiasm for and knowledge of weaving with others and teaches for the Weaving Center in their Manchester studio.

Fee: $365 payable by check or credit, includes all fiber
Date: July 28, 29, 30, 31 and August 1, 2025
Time: 10:00am-4:00pm with a break for lunch
Suggested Age: 16+

Check payment is due within 2 weeks of your registration to secure your spot.

Students should be aware: Good manual dexterity is a necessity. Shoulder, elbow, and wrist movement are needed to wind a warp and dress a loom; floor loom weaving requires hip, knee, and foot movement. Weaving does involve repetitive motion; students may take breaks as needed.

Our classrooms and studios are currently only accessible by a flight of stairs.

Refunds and Class Cancellations:

The Weaving Center reserves the right to cancel a class at any time. Should we do so, students will receive a full refund.

Registered Students: Please notify the Weaving Center as soon as possible if there is a need to cancel your registration.
- If there is a waiting list and the spot can be filled, a 3% processing fee will be deducted from the total refund if you have paid by credit. If you have paid by check and the spot can be filled, you will receive a full refund.
- If a spot cannot be filled, no refund will be offered.
