Our mission is to enrich lives through hand-weaving.

The Hartford Artisans Weaving Center is a supportive and creative community that preserves, promotes, and teaches the craft of hand-weaving.

We teach classes for all ages, curate exhibits and sales, and run a
unique artisan program. The artisan program teaches weaving to
people who are
blind, visually-impaired, and anyone 55 and older.

Fifteen years ago, in January of 2009, the doors of the “New Hartford Artisans Weaving Center” opened on Woodland Street. Fifteen years, miles of fiber wound into warps and woven into fabric. There has been so much laughter, joy, conversation and shared experiences within these walls at 42 Woodland, we could write a book!
Fifteen is our lucky number this year! Through June 23rd when you make a donation, we will get a 15% match of your donation! The impact of your donation goes further thanks to Travelers Birdies for Charity and Webster Bank's support of the Bonus Bucks Pool.
